Skills I've learnt from Mixchange

Coming into Mixchange I’ve never ever been a practical guy at all. Mixchange has changed that as I’ve learned a lot of new skills here. When I came here I didn’t know anything about drilling I didn’t know how to hold a drill never mind use a drill. The first day I got asked to drill something which was quite funny.

Mixchange has taught me a lot I have done camera workshops with Matt. Louis has shown me how to use a camera he’s taught me what Appature, iso, and shutter speed something I have never had a clue about. I have even learnt to make my own Website. Something I never ever thought I would know how to do. All these skills I’ve learned I can take with me because they are such valuable skills.

When I came for the first 3 months all I did was a lot of practical work which was surprisingly really fun for me because we did it as a team and it was a great way to integrate and get to know everyone. We did things like paint the office desks, build the Church office, Ripped out carpets, and the biggest project we did together we built the Auditorium. The Auditorium project was definitely one of my highlights here. Although it was tough and there were a lot of late nights we really had a lot of fun together. I learnt a lot of skills during that time Simon was great we worked together and he showed me a lot of practical skills like just where to put your hand when you nail something.

Mixchange is amazing as it allowed me to learn new things and the team leaders and guys who have taught me have been so amazing and so helpful.
