Breakfree Project
At the beginning of the week here at Mixchange we had the privilege to go to Breakfree. Our goal was to go there to show them some support and build a new church for them. We left Monday morning all excited for the two days ahead. Breakfree is an hour and about 15 minutes drive from the church so we left earlier on Monday morning. We were all in old old clothes as we got told were going to get really dirty with all of the building we had to do. I was allocated in Tishris’s car with Kaenan and Izaan. On the way there I just slept in the car because I was still really tired from the USA Trip I still had a bit of Jet lag. When we arrived at Breakfree I got put on the building team with Bradley, Leigh Ann, and Tishri. Im not sure why they put me on the building team because I know nothing at all when it comes to the building but nonetheless I was still willing to help. As the day went on I realized that I wasn’t of much use to the building team so What I actually did was I went to help the guys in the actual rehab center mix cement. I Literally did that for two days straight just mix cement. It was hard at times but overall I really enjoyed the break free experience and I definitely want to do more of it in the future. It was lots of fun working outside with everyone. We had a lot of fun even when it came to mixing cement, laying bricks, collecting water, and painting. At the end of the two my clothes were dirty and smelt just like cement. A highlight for me on these two days was during the first day during their lunchtime I went with Mickey and he went to go and share his testimony. It was really powerful and I know it ministered to the guys there at Breakfree. It’s amazing to see how God is busy using Mickey his life is touching those around him and the opportunity presented itself and Mickey took it with great boldness and courage. Overall the two days there were really fun and I would really love to do it again. It was nice to change it up from just being in the office the whole time when you are outside doing manual labor with each other you really get to know each other and you have good moments of fellowship with lots and lots of laughs in between.
