Conditioning prep Questions for Cullies to Dullies
What is your favourite part of morning conditioning?
My favourite part of morning conditioning is when it’s done. It’s the best feeling when conditioning is done knowing you pushed and challenged yourself to the extreme and now you done your fitness routine for the day. Coming home to a nice warm shower with a coffee and rusk is so nice for me. Another nice part for me of conditioning is when we all gather together early in the morning to see each other’s reactions not looking forward to the session ahead is quite funny.
Do you think your Gear should match?
It doesn’t bother me at all whether my kit matches or doesn’t. For me, though I wouldn’t go through all the extra effort to try and get my Kit to match because I think it’s unnecessary as it’s not going to make you a better cyclist sure it may help you feel better in terms of looks wise but it won’t help you cycle better so no I dont care if my Kit matches or doesn’t as long as I feel comfortable and good in my kit then im good to go.
What you have learned in your conditioning life that applies to your spiritual life?
When the going gets tough dont quit!
Just with conditioning when it gets tough thats not the moment for you to quit in fact thats the exact moment when you have to press and push yourself more because thats where you get the most growth. It’s the same Spiritually if an attack comes from the enemy and attacks do come this is when you cant just lay back and play dead and quit allowing him to get the upper hand no thats when like conditioning you have to press in spiritually to defeat the enemy.

Being committed and having consistency
With Conditioning in order to get the best physical results possible you have to be committed to the cause and go for it. If you are not committed and are not consistent then you going to find it hard to see the results. In order to have the best fitness results you have to be consistent. Now consistency is doing it even if you dont feel like it. Thats the same with Faith it’s not based on how you feel. In order for your faith to be effectually at work you need to be consistent in walking in faith. Ps Sharon even has a saying that the power of your prayers is in your consistency.
Do you ever sing in your head when cycling?
Only sometimes. I must say it depends on what mood im in during the time. I sing songs I listen to in the morning. A cool song I sing to with everyone is, I feel good when doing long distance and it’s really fun cause others join in as we all know this song.
Who introduced you to conditioning?
I have always been conditioned and have always loved conditioning. Growing up in high school I played a lot of rugby and conditioned a lot through it. However, that was a lot of gym and strength work so I didn’t do anything with Cycling. I got introduced to cycling by Ps John he blessed me with a bike since then I haven’t looked back.
What am I most grateful for in conditioning?
The best lesson i’ve learned through it all is to lay down my life and not do my own thing by wanting to go faster but to actually come along and serve others in the start of their journey
